GHCCM Pharmacy

No or low cost medications for qualified patients

The Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry (GHCCM) Pharmacy offers qualified patients access to no-cost medications through patient assistance programs and partnerships with national organizations, area businesses, and wholesalers

  • M-Th: 9AM-4PM
  • Fri: CLOSED

  • The pharmacy fills prescriptions for eligible patients seen at GHCCM’s Medical Clinic, Kintegra Family Medicine, CVMC Claremont, Catawba Valley Health, Cognitive Connections, Catawba Valley Medical Group practices and many others. In addition, patients seen in the emergency departments, urgent cares, or other primary care or specialty practices can have prescriptions filled at the GHCCM pharmacy if they are eligible.
  • Some medications from free programs have no fees, but other medications have a $4.00 or higher fee for each 30 day prescription. (This does NOT apply to Kintegra patients).
  • Medicaid eligible patients do not qualify for free program meds.

For pharmacy services:

  • Must be a current patient of Kintegra Health or an associate thereof, or have a current GHCCM Healthcare Card.
  • Medicaid eligible patients should apply for Medicaid and make appointment with new Medicaid provider AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
  • To apply for a GHCCM card, stop by the Whole Life Center (across the street from GHCCM’s main campus) or call (828) 327-0979 EXT 307.

  • Transfers INTO GHCCM from another pharmacy: Transfer request forms are located both above the Rx Drop Box as well as at the pharmacy. Due to high volume, please allow up to 2 full business days.
  • Our pharmacy does not fill controlled substances.
  • Transfers OUT of GHCCM to another pharmacy: Please have the other pharmacy call us at (828) 323-7915. All transfer requests to another pharmacy are done no later than the end of business day. NOTE: Prescriptions transferred out of GHCCM mist be written by a Medicaid provider in order to be processed under patient’s Medicaid.

  • PATIENTS MUST PLACE AN ORDER BEFORE the pharmacy will fill any NEW OR REFILL medications.
  • Reorder (most) prescriptions when you are down to about 7 days (a week’s worth) of medication. Due to high volume, please allow up to 2 full business days.
  • If your GHCCM Healthcare card is expired or you do not have one, we cannot start processing your order until you obtain or renew your card and you let us know. (This does not apply to Kintegra patients)
  • Please pick up prescriptions within 15 days of placing your order. Due to limited medication inventory, any orders not picked up after 15 days will be returned to stock and a new order must be placed by the patient.

Lisa (GHCCM Pharmacist) has been a lifesaver to me and my husband. Everyone in the pharmacy is just so caring.
