The Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry (GHCCM) announces its upcoming event, Glitter Glamour and Giving Gala, an immersive Roaring 20s speakeasy experience designed to entertain and uplift our community. The evening is taking place on Saturday, March 15, at Moretz Mills, 6:00 p.m. As stated by Molly Sain, Executive Director of GHCCM, “The gala promises a dazzling blend of live jazz, interactive theater, and a spirited silent auction—all in support of the ministry’s mission to assist local individuals experiencing homelessness or living in poverty.”
Guests will be transported back to the glamour of the 1920s, where live performances and an intimate atmosphere bring the era to life. The highlight of the evening will be a live jazz performance by the renowned Bob Taylor Band, setting the perfect mood for a night of sophistication and fun. In addition, a silent auction featuring exclusive experiences will offer attendees the chance to bid on unique opportunities, with all proceeds directly benefiting the ministry’s critical programs.
The ticket cost is $75 per person in advance of March 5 and $90 per person after March 5. Tickets can be purchased online by going to www.ccmhickory.org or call GHCCM, 828-323-7906. The Gala includes an evening filled with themed food topped off with decadent desserts, complementary beverage upon arrival, live jazz and swing music, character actors, a silent auction and much more.
Molly continues, “We are excited to offer our community a night where entertainment meets purpose. Glitter Glamour and Giving is more than an event—it’s a celebration of our community’s spirit and a meaningful step toward supporting those in need. Through events like this, the organization not only brings people together for a memorable experience but also reinforces its commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of our most vulnerable population in our community.”
The sponsors for the evening are Lowes Foods, Alex Lee, MDI, Imagine One Hospitality consisting of Rule Wood Fired Italian Prime and Pasta, Boca, Peppervine, Vintage House, CowaSaki, Frothy Rooster, Mas Amor Cantina, Art of Compassion and Pepsi of Hickory.
