PROGRAM DETAILS

  • The pharmacy fills prescriptions for eligible patients seen at GHCCM’s Medical Clinic, Kintegra Family Medicine, CVMC Claremont, Catawba Valley Health, Cognitive Connections, Catawba Valley Medical Group practices and many others. In addition, patients seen in the emergency departments, urgent cares, or other primary care or specialty practices can have prescriptions filled at the GHCCM pharmacy if they are eligible.
  • Some medications from free programs have no fees, but other medications have a $4.00 or higher fee for each 30 day prescription. (This does NOT apply to Kintegra patients).
  • Medicaid eligible patients do not qualify for free program meds.

ELIGIBILITY

For pharmacy services:

  • Must be a current patient of Kintegra Health or an associate thereof, or have a current GHCCM Healthcare Card.
  • Medicaid eligible patients should apply for Medicaid and make appointment with new Medicaid provider AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

PRESCRIPTION TRANSFERS

  • Transfers OUT of GHCCM to another pharmacy: Please have the other pharmacy call us at (828) 323-7915. All transfer requests to another pharmacy are done no later than the end of business day. ORDERING/REORDERING PRESCRIPTIONS

  • PATIENTS MUST PLACE AN ORDER BEFORE the pharmacy will fill any NEW OR REFILL medications.
  • Reorder (most) prescriptions when you are down to about 7 days (a week’s worth) of medication. Due to high volume, please allow up to 2 full business days.
  • If your GHCCM Healthcare card is expired or you do not have one, we cannot start processing your order until you obtain or renew your card and you let us know. (This does not apply to Kintegra patients)
  • Please pick up prescriptions within 15 days of placing your order. Due to limited medication inventory, any orders not picked up after 15 days will be returned to stock and a new order must be placed by the patient.
